Tesamorelin 20mg Pen

The ProPeptide Tesamorelin 20mg pen holds tesamorelin already dissolved in a sealed cartridge: 20mg of peptide in 3mL of aqueous solution, built into a pre-filled pen body. It is the liquid-format counterpart to our freeze-dried Tesamorelin 10mg vial, and the two pages describe the same molecule in two different packages.

Tesamorelin itself (development code TH9507) is a lab-made GHRH analog, GHRH being the hypothalamic hormone that prompts growth hormone release. It keeps all 44 amino acids of the human hormone and adds a single trans-3-hexenoyl group to the tyrosine at the N-terminus.

Research material, not Egrifta

Tesamorelin is best known as the active substance in Egrifta, which Theratechnologies sells in the US on prescription. FDA approval covers a single use: to reduce excess abdominal fat in adults with HIV-associated lipodystrophy. The Egrifta label rules out weight-loss management as an indication. This pen is a separate product. Theratechnologies does not make it, the Egrifta label's quality and safety data do not apply to it, and no regulator has approved it as a medicine. Some laboratory work is simpler when the peptide arrives in solution rather than as a dry powder. Here is what the pen format means, and what we can and cannot document.

A sealed liquid format

The cartridge is filled and closed at manufacture, so there is no powder to handle and the 20mg in 3mL concentration is fixed before the pen leaves the facility. The trade-off is flexibility: a freeze-dried vial lets a lab choose its own solvent and concentration, while the pen does not.

How the three tesamorelin listings differ

Remy Research lists tesamorelin in three forms. The 10mg vial is lyophilised powder under the ProPeptide label. This 20mg pen is the ProPeptide liquid format. A separate Genovare 25mg aqueous pen comes from a different label with its own documentation.

Purity standard and batch evidence

The ProPeptide tesamorelin line is specified to a ≥99% HPLC standard. We have not yet published a batch-specific Janoshik report for this pen, and we do not suggest that one exists. The reports we have published so far are for Retatrutide products; you can read them in the lab results library.

A cold-chain courier carries every order, packed to stay between 2–8°C, and we deliver across all seven emirates. In Dubai, an order in before 4 PM is delivered that day, most within four hours. No outcome claims

We do not claim fat-loss, body-composition, recovery, sleep or wellbeing effects for this pen. Trial results for the approved medicine describe Egrifta in specific patients and cannot be transferred to research material.

Tesamorelin does not supply growth hormone. It acts one level higher on the axis, at the receptor the pituitary uses to hear the hypothalamus.

A signal to the pituitary

The Egrifta label reports that, in laboratory assays, tesamorelin binds the human GHRH receptor and switches it on about as potently as the natural hormone does. That receptor sits on somatotroph cells in the anterior pituitary, the cells that make and release growth hormone.

What the hexenoyl cap changes

Natural GHRH is broken down within minutes in plasma, largely by the enzyme DPP-IV clipping its N-terminal end. The trans-3-hexenoyl group blocks that cleavage site and improves resistance to protease attack. Even so, the molecule remains short-lived, with a plasma half-life measured in minutes, so most studies follow its downstream markers instead. What the human trials measured

Growth hormone released by the pituitary raises IGF-1, and IGF-1 was the marker most tesamorelin trials tracked. Pooling the two phase 3 Egrifta trials, which enrolled adults with HIV lipodystrophy, researchers reported roughly 15% less visceral fat than placebo at 26 weeks, while fat beneath the skin hardly moved. Once treatment ended, the visceral fat came back. A 12-month study of people with HIV and fatty liver disease found a fall in liver fat.
